Pretty recently, I read The Scribe of Siena, by Melodie Winawer, and it gave me serious wanderlust. The descriptions of Italy were seriously vibrant, and it made me want to just drop everything, buy a plane ticket, and travel.
The descriptions of medieval Italy were also beautiful- it talked about the houses, the foods, the people, and the way of life. While I was reading, I was actually wishing that time travel existed, just so that I could go and see it for myself. (Even though I would probably get the plague.)
Ah, I love books that make me actually want to travel, because normally, I’m not a huge fan of it. What books have given you wanderlust recently?
